David Winston
David Winston is the founder and creative director of Cleanroom Inc., an architectural design and branding firm specializing in architecture, furniture and branded environments with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Winston is noted for designing New York's Museum of Sex in 2002 and in 2008 the Tetris Building, a progressive architectural icon in Hell's Kitchen. Recently Winston expanded his practice to downtown Los Angeles where he lives and works. Winston acquired his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and his Master of Architecture from Columbia University. He is an associate member of the AIA and is a visiting critic at Parson Architecture School, New York Institute of Technology and Columbia University. As partner and creative director of Scale 1:1, Winston assembled a team of architects and designers to pioneer a new way of combining utility with art and design.
